Atom is building a modern financial research platform and network for all investors like you and me. Our aim is to be the center for retail investors to learn and interact about public markets. Recently, they officially launched their Beta and, as of now have over 10,000 users on the platform. Build highly scalable backend systems that allows for Atom to scale as our user base grows. Own projects related to both building out new functionality on the core platform and improving existing features. Iterate quickly without compromising the quality and reliability of the systems. Take on initiatives related to managing existing infrastructure and improving them. Work with agile development methodologies and adhering to best practices. Required skills
2+ years experience as a backend engineer. Bachelors or equivalent in computer science. Highly technical with strong hands-on coding skills. Solid understanding of software engineering architecture, software design patterns, and best testing practices. Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts. Preferred skills
Masters/Ph.D. in computer science or equivalent. Experience with distributed systems. Experience with scaling high throughput services and performance optimization. Knowledge of AWS or similar cloud services. Prior knowledge of node.js, react, Postgres, Redis would be nice to have.
