À propos

Squadron Energy is Australia's leading renewable energy company that develops, operates and owns renewable energy assets in Australia. With proven experience and expertise across the project lifecycle, we work with local communities and our customers to lead the transition to Australia's clean energy future.

We are 100% Australian owned and have 1.1 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy in operation and 900MW under construction.

Why work with us?

Our goal is to improve the environment for current and future generations by leading Australia's transition to renewable energy. Our people are driven by their passion to make a meaningful difference in the world, to their families and friends, and to themselves.

Though we are united by this common goal, we view the tremendous diversity in our team's cultural, personal, and professional backgrounds as one of our greatest assets. This sense of camaraderie and cross-disciplinary expertise spurs drive and commitment to the growth of our business.

We're seeking a Manager – Commercial Contracts , a commercially focused professional responsible for managing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other customer-facing contracts that underpin our renewable energy portfolio. This role is a 6 month contract, based in our Sydney office.

This is a pivotal role ensuring our projects deliver long-term value and meet customer expectations. You'll oversee the full lifecycle of commercial agreements—monitoring compliance, performance, and alignment with strategic objectives—while maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring contractual obligations are met. Your work will help secure revenue streams and support the success of our growing portfolio of renewable generation and storage assets.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the administration and performance of PPAs and related commercial agreements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for PPA counterparties on contractual matters, ensuring obligations are met and issues resolved promptly.
  • Monitor contract compliance, performance metrics, and risk exposure.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure contracts support project delivery and financial outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting for internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Support continuous improvement of contract management processes and systems.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in commercial contract management within energy markets, ideally with PPAs or similar agreements.
  • Strong understanding of wholesale electricity markets, contract structures, and risk allocation principles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex contracts and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in legal, commercial, or finance disciplines highly regarded.
