The Opportunity Carma is a climate‑action marketplace that delivers verified social and environmental impact. We offer Carbon Credits and Carbon Compensation (Tree planting and kelp) through our platform. We don’t just "post on social media"; we facilitate tree planting days and operate a digital marketplace. All our products, in turn, support UK service leavers and veterans through employment, land‑based training and mental‑health funding. We need a brand ambassador to nurture our community, coordinate high‑impact events, and manage a growing portfolio of partners who rely on Carma to deliver the core pillars of their social impact and sustainability strategies.
Key Responsibilities 1. Outreach & Audience Engagement
The Voice of Carma:
You will be the primary point of contact for new and existing audiences. Your job is to educate and excite people about our products, services, and the tangible impact we create.
Podcast & Media Presence:
You’ll identify and secure opportunities to share the Carma story, potentially appearing on podcasts or assisting the founders with media bookings to reach a wider audience.
Community Building:
Own the conversation on LinkedIn and Instagram. You aren't just managing a feed; you are joining high‑level discussions on sustainability and social value.
2. PR & Event Coordination
Impact Storytelling:
Proactively pitch our work—specifically our impact on the UK veteran community—to Manchester media and national sustainability publications.
The "Hype" Lead:
Drive the hype through email marketing and partner outreach.
On‑Site Execution:
Attend planting days and industry events in Manchester and nationwide to represent Carma as necessary.
3. Partner & Account Management
Strategic Support:
Manage a portfolio of business partners, providing them with the impact reports, bespoke assets and Social Value data they need to win tenders and hit sustainability targets.
Customer Success:
Act as a friendly, expert contact for enquiries, ensuring our B‑Corp values are reflected in every interaction.
The Ideal Candidate
The Natural Communicator:
You are comfortable "on stage" or on camera. You enjoy speaking to new people and can explain complex topics simply and authentically.
The Connector:
Whether it’s a LinkedIn comment, a podcast interview, or a partner meeting, you are professional, warm, and engaging.
Purpose‑Driven:
You have a deep interest in sustainability and social impact. You want your work to mean something tangible.
Organised:
You are a master of "the list" and can balance PR pitching, event logistics, and account management without breaking a stride.
