Our Nashville, Tennessee facility is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our logistics team. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This role requires physical capability, a commitment to safety, and the ability to operate various types of equipment. You will play a key part in ensuring that our operations run smoothly by managing the flow of goods from receiving to shipping.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials in a safe and orderly manner.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding the handling of materials and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs) regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
