We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical pharmacy experience, including LTC , and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient-centered care. This role involves managing medication therapy, providing expert consultation, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. The Staff Pharmacist will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and personalized medication management across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and acute care units.
We are a family run Independent pharmacy open for over 80 years. We are community oriented. We also have a full Long Term Care division that services Assisted Living Facilities and community residents looking for medication management. We are considered a "combo" pharmacy that services both community patients as well as patients in LTC and Group home settings. The pharmacist will be required to learn both settings.
*Responsibilities*
* Dispense medications accurately while adhering to all legal and safety regulations
* Collaborate with healthcare providers on medical management and pain management strategies
* Manage medication inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and proper storage
* Administer immunizations and participate in vaccination programs
* Maintain comprehensive documentation within EMR/EHR systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations
* Educate patients on medication administration, potential side effects, and health management strategies
* Perform patient service duties by addressing inquiries and providing medication counseling
* Assist with inventory management, medication reconciliation, and documentation of patient care activities
*Qualifications*
* Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the state of practice
* Prior experience in LTC pharmacy preferred, but not required.
* Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience with patient service focus
* Proficiency in pharmacy software systems (RX30 is used but on site training is available)
* Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, immunizations, and medication administration procedures
* Familiarity with inventory management systems and medication reconciliation processes
* Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $55.00 - $58.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
