Machinist

What's the role:

An opportunity exists for a full-time experienced Machinist. Only applicants with a minimum of Pre-employment training + 3 years experience or 3rd year Apprenticeship will be considered. This position would include programming and operating various CNC lathes and milling machines. The ideal candidate would possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and work independently. Experience with Siemens and Heidenhain controls would be an asset.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work in accordance with OH&S regulations and Nutana Machine Safe Work Procedures and safety rules.
• Programing and Operation of CNC Lathes and Milling Equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings.
• Complete documentation requirements.
• Keep workspace and relevant equipment organized and free from hazards.
• Ability to meet specific standards and communicate problems to supervisors.
• Perform work efficiently to meet schedule, and estimated hours requirements.
• Responsible use of consumables and raw materials.
• Operation of Overhead Travelling Crane once training and competency is verified.
