Join our growing team as a Material Handler in Indianapolis, Indiana! This is a vital role in our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. You'll operate powered industrial trucks and hand trucks to accomplish this, safely and efficiently. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure items are placed in the correct locations and that inventory counts are accurate. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety, requiring all employees to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all established safety procedures. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs and consistent movement. The ideal candidate will be reliable, energetic, and eager to contribute to a productive logistics environment. Experience with forklift operation is a plus, but we provide training. Your role is fundamental to our overall warehouse efficiency and success in meeting delivery schedules. We are looking for team players who can follow instructions and work collaboratively to achieve departmental goals.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and store incoming goods.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks as required.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
- Adhere to all lifting guidelines and safety protocols, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist in maintaining efficient warehouse logistics.
