MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country.We are looking for a dynamic, detail orientated Human Resource Generalist who is passionate about employees and dedicated to fostering solid employee relations in a diverse culture. In this role you will be responsible for providing support in all functional areas of HR, with a strong focus on employee relations.  Responsibilities Ensure the consistent application of Human Resources programs and policies, including employment, compensation, staffing strategies, benefits, training, payroll, and employee relationsPartner with HR leadership and client group leadership to manage organizational planning, including job descriptions, skills assessments, and career development within functional areasPartner with Talent Acquisition to streamline recruitment and onboarding processes for hourly and salaried positions; support recruitment efforts through interviews (Targeted Selection), on-site/off-site events, and onboarding activities including new hire orientationConduct and coordinate training sessions for leaders and employees on a variety of topics such as HR compliance, leadership development, and policies/proceduresCounsel leaders and employees on job-specific and developmental training opportunities and career growthSupport retention efforts by tracking and analyzing KPIs (., hiring, turnover, retention, overtime), conducting exit interviews, and advising on retention strategiesInvestigate and support resolution of employee concerns, including performance, conduct, and attendance issues; mediate workplace conflicts and provide guidance on disciplinary procedures and documentationProvide guidance to leaders, supervisors, and employees on HR policies, procedures, and programs; respond to inquiries and ensure compliance with applicable employment lawsAssist in the development and review of HR policies and ensure appropriate communication and understanding across employee groupsManage leaves of absence, including FMLA and discretionary leaves; coordinate with HR to conduct ADA interactive processes and determine potential accommodationsPrepare and process HR documentation across functional areas (., new hires, promotions, terminations, disciplinary actions)Support unemployment claim responses and documentation preparationMaintain accurate records through HRIS and timekeeping systems; monitor data for reporting and compliancePerform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of three to five years HR experience preferably within a manufacturing facilityBachelor’s degree preferred in HR, business or equivalent work experienceKnowledge of appropriate legislation pertaining to employment (both Federal and State law), compensation and benefits and other related human resources functionsMust be comfortable working in high-volume and fast-pace environmentWilling to work flexible hours as needed to support operations About Us Our benefits package includes coverage of your health, wealth, and wellness for you and your eligible spouse/dependents.
