Position Overview:

The Enhancements/Softscape Foreperson is responsible for leading and executing high-quality landscape enhancement and softscape projects, including planting, garden bed construction, and outdoor renovations. This role oversees crews on site, coordinates materials and timelines, ensures work is completed to design specifications, and serves as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams. The Foreperson plays a critical role in project success, crew development, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise enhancement crews on planting, bed construction, and landscape renovation projects

  • Operate power equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, aerators, etc.)

  • Interpret and execute landscape designs, drawings, and project plans accurately

  • Coordinate daily workflow, crew assignments, equipment, and material logistics

  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and to quality standards

  • Communicate professionally with the team, management, and clients

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient job site in compliance with company standards

  • Train, mentor, and support Lead Hands and Assistants, identifying development opportunities

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-4 years' experience in landscape horticulture and maintenance/enhancements

  • Proven leadership experience managing crews and job sites

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Valid Class 5 License (required)

  • Red Seal Horticulture Certification or similar training

  • Strong technical knowledge of planting, soil preparation, grading, and mulching

  • Competent in the use of power tools (pruners, mowers, trimmers, etc.)

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: $ $43.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • North Vancouver, BC V7P 3H2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
