As a teacher in our high school division, your key responsibilities include:

Creating an engaging and dynamic environment that supports student learning
Contributing to the fantastic culture and community of VCS by working cooperatively with colleagues and participating in staff engagement and worship activities
Participating fully in student-learning and extra-curricular activities outside of the school day
Being flexible and open to teaching additional courses
Participating in professional development that supports the ongoing pursuit of excellence in educational pedagogy and teaching through the lens of a Christian worldview
Specific duties: work cooperatively with colleagues within his/her department and across the school; participate fully in student-learning and extra-curricular activities outside of the school day; may also be called on to teach additional courses

Qualifications

Completion of a Bachelor of Education
Minimum of 3-5 years of successful experience teaching mathematics
Can demonstrate expertise in mathematics curriculum, assessment, and instructional best practices
Strong ability to curate, develop, and share instructional resources
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Evidence of professional growth and ongoing learning in math education
Experience with differentiated instruction, intervention strategies, and data-informed practice
Must have a certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch of the BC Ministry of Education
Is familiar with the BC Ministry of Education curriculum

Annual salary range $56,016 to $100,902 per school year (dependent on education, qualifications and experience; pro-rated for part-time teachers)Start date August 1, 2026 Application To express your interest in joining our team, please provide us with the following documents:
