Join our vibrant team in Miami, Florida, as a Material Handler and play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics network. This position involves moving, organizing, and preparing materials and products for various stages of the supply chain. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring that materials are stored and moved efficiently and safely. A strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the ability to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting, are essential. We require all employees to adhere to strict safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Move materials and finished goods between different areas of the warehouse.
- Organize and stack inventory in designated locations to maximize space utilization.
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from hazards.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain efficiency of the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including frequent Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management principles.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
