We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Seattle, Washington facility. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. This involves conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to prevent stock inaccuracies. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to ensure efficient inventory management practices are followed. This position is key to our logistics operations, ensuring we have the right products in the right place at the right time. A strong understanding of inventory management systems and a meticulous approach are essential. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. Your expertise will directly impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage stock rotation and ensure product freshness/quality.
- Work with receiving and shipping teams to ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely for inventory movements.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Develop and recommend solutions to prevent future inventory issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and use of appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus. Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management. Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to perform lifting (up to 40 lbs) and work in a warehouse environment. Knowledge of logistics principles and supply chain operations. Commitment to workplace safety.
