Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. This critical role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficient management of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and resolving discrepancies. Your work will directly impact our logistics operations, supply chain efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position requires a sharp, analytical mind and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We are dedicated to maintaining a secure and well-organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Implement and refine inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff, logistics, and purchasing departments.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Adhere to all Safety guidelines and ensure proper use of PPE.
  • Assist in training new team members on inventory control procedures.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform detailed record-keeping and data analysis. While not as physically demanding as some roles, occasional Lifting up to 25 lbs may be required. A strong commitment to Safety and organization is essential. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
