Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in Houston, Texas. This role is essential for the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. A strong emphasis on Safety, proper equipment operation, and adherence to company policies is paramount. You will work as part of a dedicated logistics team, contributing to the overall productivity and success of our operations. We are committed to providing a secure and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload pallets and other materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas, including storage, production, and shipping docks.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of obstructions and hazards.
- Strictly adhere to all Safety regulations and use required PPE at all times.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts. Ability to perform significant Lifting (up to 60 lbs) when necessary. Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and protocols. Experience in logistics or supply chain environments is highly desirable. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
