We are hiring a motivated Distribution Center Associate for our facility in Madison, Wisconsin. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a stable role within the logistics industry. The Distribution Center Associate will be responsible for a range of tasks essential to the smooth operation of our warehouse. This includes receiving and stocking merchandise, fulfilling orders by picking and packing, and preparing items for shipment. The role demands a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions precisely, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly workplace. Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices, including the use of PPE, is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming inventory, ensuring accuracy.
- Stock shelves and designated areas using proper procedures.
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order tickets.
- Pack orders securely for shipment, protecting merchandise.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain data integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse floor and work areas.
- Follow all company Safety policies and guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Support Logistics operations by assisting with various warehouse functions.
- Ability to handle moderate Lifting of packages and materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is beneficial.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a demanding environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform Lifting tasks up to 40 lbs.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of Safety and operational efficiency.
