Our dynamic logistics facility in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the warehouse. Your duties will include operating various types of material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring operational efficiency. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. This position requires physical strength and stamina, including the ability to perform heavy Lifting, and a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. You will work as part of a dedicated team, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. Experience with forklifts and other warehouse machinery is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management and stock placement.
- Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support logistics team in meeting operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform rigorous physical tasks, including heavy Lifting (up to 70 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
