We are seeking a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our facility in Detroit, Michigan. This role is multifaceted, involving a variety of tasks essential to the smooth operation of our distribution center. You will contribute to inventory management, order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will play a vital role in our logistics chain, ensuring that products move efficiently from receipt to shipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment accurately.
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory organization.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, hazard-free, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Support various logistics functions as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) is a significant asset.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
