Join our team as a Receiving Clerk at our Los Angeles, California facility. This critical role ensures that all incoming goods are accurately processed, verified, and stored, playing a fundamental part in our logistics chain. If you possess a strong sense of organization, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety , this position is ideal for you. You will be a key player in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and operational flow.
Responsibilities:
- Accept deliveries, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or short shipments to management.
- Organize and stage incoming goods for distribution or storage.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and ensure correct use of PPE .
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding receiving issues.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as required.
- Support a culture of efficiency and accuracy in all receiving operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving, shipping, or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent standing, walking, and moderate lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills.
- Familiarity with shipping documents and basic inventory control.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and operations.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
