Seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator for our facility in Durham, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory placement and retrieval, contributing to the overall smooth operation of our warehouse. This role requires precision, a strong commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining optimal stock levels and facilitating timely order processing. Responsibilities:
- Operate reach trucks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trailers and transport them to designated storage areas.
- Accurately pick and place inventory in designated racking locations.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and Safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all warehouse guidelines.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Requirements:
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting, and maneuvering pallets.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of workplace Safety.
