We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Tampa, Florida. This role is the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper processing. You will be responsible for verifying shipments, inspecting for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our inventory system. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety are paramount in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming inventory against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Verify quantities and product information for accuracy.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to supervisors.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Label and tag incoming inventory according to company procedures.
- Stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Handle items that may require moderate Lifting, ensuring proper techniques are used.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with WMS or inventory software is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret packing slips and purchase orders.
- Capacity for Lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Good communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following all Safety guidelines.
