Job Summary:
Join our dynamic logistics team as a Warehouse Coordinator in our bustling Chicago, Illinois distribution center. This role is perfect for a results-oriented individual who excels at managing warehouse operations, leading teams, and optimizing efficiency. You will play a critical part in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly, from inventory management to order fulfillment. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain operational excellence. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and WMS updates.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs in our logistics network.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and strict Safety standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff, emphasizing safe work practices and the correct use of PPE.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring a high level of Safety and functionality.
  • Coordinate with carriers and third-party logistics providers for timely inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Manage staff scheduling, performance, and professional development.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Promote a culture of Safety, ensuring proper techniques for Lifting and material handling are consistently applied.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or coordination.
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Experience in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Commitment to fostering a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with all Safety regulations.
