We are looking for skilled Material Handlers to join our robust logistics operations in Nashville, Tennessee. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your expertise in handling various types of inventory will ensure the smooth flow of goods throughout our facility. This position demands a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials.
- Receive, identify, and accurately record incoming inventory.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and safety.
- Perform routine inspections of material handling equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring clear pathways and accessibility.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control procedures, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse workflow and logistics.
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
