In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the accurate intake of all incoming shipments, ensuring that goods match purchase orders and are free from damage. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment. - Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label inventory as required.
- Stage goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Previous experience in a receiving, inventory, or warehouse role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and data entry skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
