Our Madison, Wisconsin facility has an opening for a motivated Receiving Clerk. This position is key to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management. You will be responsible for the meticulous handling of all incoming goods, from initial receipt and inspection to accurate data entry and staging. Responsibilities:
- Accept deliveries, verify contents against shipping documents, and note any discrepancies or damages.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system.
- Prepare received goods for storage or further processing.
- Operate equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts safely to move inventory.
- Maintain an orderly and clean receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding receiving issues.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and ensure the correct use of PPE.
- Support cycle count activities and inventory audits.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of the overall logistics network.
- Assist in other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience in a warehouse receiving role is beneficial. Capable of performing tasks requiring regular lifting up to 40 lbs. Demonstrates exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient in using basic computer systems for data entry. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Must be able to stand and move throughout the warehouse for the duration of the shift. A steadfast commitment to safety is essential, requiring the consistent use of all designated PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
