Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify shipping information against orders to prevent errors.
- Generate shipping labels and packing slips.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled, packed, and secured for transit.
- Maintain shipping records and documentation.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Assist with receiving duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and utilize required PPE.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping or logistics is preferred. Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate lifting. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Basic computer proficiency, including shipping software knowledge. Good communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Must be able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks. Your commitment to safety is paramount, and you will be expected to follow all established safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
