We are looking for a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our St. Louis, Missouri facility. This role is crucial for our logistics operations, ensuring that we have the right products, in the right quantities, at the right time. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to inventory processes. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, meticulous, and possesses a strong understanding of inventory management principles. You will work closely with warehouse staff, procurement, and sales teams to ensure seamless operations. Maintaining a safe work environment, including adherence to all safety regulations and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Manage stock levels and ensure accuracy in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure accurate stock movement.
- Prepare inventory reports for management.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of inventory control techniques.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and use PPE.
