Our dynamic logistics company is seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing team in Orlando, Florida. This crucial role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to ensure all stock levels are precise, organized, and readily available for order fulfillment. Your keen eye for detail and systematic approach will be vital in minimizing discrepancies and optimizing stock rotation. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and the opportunity to be a key player in our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain organized inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving items, and report on inventory aging.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items, adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Operate necessary equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, safely and efficiently as required, following all safety guidelines.
- Assist in the training of new warehouse associates on inventory procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
- Participate in cross-docking and special projects as assigned.
- Ability to perform strenuous tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the warehouse environment.
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles is a plus.
