You will be responsible for processing shipping orders, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining all necessary documentation. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all shipping documents, including bills of lading, manifests, and customs declarations.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing orders, ensuring correct items and quantities are shipped.
- Ensure packages are properly labeled, weighed, and secured for transit.
- Operate shipping software and systems to manage shipment tracking and status updates.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external customers regarding shipping inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities.
- Address and resolve any shipping discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks, which may include some lifting up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and standard office applications.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience with manual lifting of packages up to 30 lbs.
- Familiarity with various shipping carriers and their procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all PPE guidelines.
- High school diploma or GED required.
