Are you a skilled and safety-conscious individual? We have an immediate opening for a Forklift Operator at our facility in Boise, Idaho. This crucial role involves operating various types of forklifts to move materials, load and unload trucks, and manage inventory within our warehouse. You will be essential to the smooth operation of our logistics chain, ensuring that goods are handled efficiently and safely. We are committed to maintaining a secure workplace, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. This position requires dexterity, precision, and the ability to work with heavy loads.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including stacking and organizing materials.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to optimize logistics flow.
- Operate other warehouse equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in navigating warehouse layouts and managing inventory.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
