We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will work closely with inventory management systems and collaborate with other warehouse staff to maintain efficiency and accuracy. Our commitment to safety is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere to all established safety protocols. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times. This position involves frequent lifting and movement throughout the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Verify product quantities and types against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Safely operate manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Package items securely for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and preparing for transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and stocking incoming inventory as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
