_ *Position Summary*_
The Senior Heavy Civil Estimator plays a critical role in the continued growth and success of Definitive Industrial Group. This position is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive cost estimates for complex heavy civil, industrial, and concrete construction projects.
_*Key Responsibilities*_
* Review and analyze project plans, specifications, drawings, schedules, and bid documents
* Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
* Evaluate constructability, production rates, risk factors, and safety considerations
* Prepare complete bid proposals and pricing breakdowns
* Participate in internal bid reviews with senior management
* Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids
* Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
* Maintain historical cost and pricing data
* Support project handoff from estimating to operations
_*Project Types & Services*_
* Site preparation, land clearing, and earthwork
* Concrete foundations and mass concrete pours
* Concrete cutting and core drilling
* Underground utilities and drainage construction
* Paving and structural steel
* Industrial equipment foundations and specialty concretes
_*Qualifications*_
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 5+ years of experience as a Senior Estimator in heavy civil or industrial construction
* Proficiency with estimating an software such as HCSS HeavyBid and Bluebeam or another type is required and experience with P6 is a plus
* Strong communication and organizational skills
