The biostatistician/AI data scientist will assist senior team members in performing statistical analyses and developing automated workflows for federal public health and life sciences projects. This role emphasizes foundational biostatistical skills combined with emerging technologies such as GenAI and automation. Key responsibilities include: Support development and execution of statistical analyses under supervision. Assist in creating automated workflows and reproducible reports using R Markdown and Python. Contribute to data cleaning, preparation, and visualization tasks. Collaborate with senior biostatisticians and epidemiologists on project deliverables. Learn and apply GenAI tools for enhancing analytic efficiency. What you will need: Bachelor's degree is required. Basic proficiency in R, SQL, and Python for data analysis. Understanding of regression modeling and descriptive statistics. Understanding of GenAI and other emerging technologies. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. What would be nice to have: Master's degree. Experience with version control tools (e.g., GitHub). Experience with AI and machine learning for data analytics. Exposure to GenAI tools and automation frameworks. Familiarity with public health datasets and analytic standards. The annual salary range for this position is $68,000.00-$113,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
