We are helping a large UK‑owned software group to build and scale a world‑class, AI‑first engineering organisation in Manchester. They have very ambitious plans and the budget to make it happen.
As Engineering Manager, you will manage high‑performing squads, drive technical excellence, and shape modern development practices.
You’ll combine leadership with hands‑on technical oversight, ensuring secure, scalable solutions while championing AI‑driven workflows and continuous improvement across multiple greenfield projects.
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience managing multiple engineering teams
Experience in fintech, payments, or other regulated environments.
Strong background as a software engineer with architectural expertise
Knowledge of secure SDLC, QA automation, DevOps pipelines, and cloud‑native development (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Ability to lead delivery across several workstreams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
An advocate of AI‑assisted development
