We are seeking a hardworking Material Handler to join our growing logistics team in Provo, Utah. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading shipments, operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring inventory is properly stored and accessible. Safety is a top priority, and all employees are expected to adhere to stringent safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices. This role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy items regularly. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure all materials are stored correctly and safely.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the required use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Practice safe lifting and handling techniques at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks is a significant advantage.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Understanding of logistics operations and safety protocols.
- Commitment to safety, including proper use of PPE and safe lifting.
