Are you a highly organized and efficient individual looking for a dynamic role in Sacramento, California? Our company is seeking a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this position, you will be responsible for accurately picking items for customer orders and expertly packing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly impact customer satisfaction. This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring that products reach our customers quickly and in perfect condition. We prioritize a safe working environment and provide all necessary Safety training and PPE. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a valued member of our growing company.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or electronic scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package picked items securely and efficiently using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages correctly with shipping information and tracking numbers.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as required.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the picking and packing department.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving regular Lifting of items, typically up to 35 lbs.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order fulfillment, or picking/packing role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and item numbers accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards and willingness to follow them.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
