Job Summary:
Join our expanding logistics hub in Richmond, Virginia, as a Material Handler. This position is critical for the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment and storage using various equipment. The role requires physical strength, agility, and a strong adherence to Safety protocols. We emphasize a culture of Safety and expect all team members to be vigilant and follow all guidelines, including the use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Organize and stack materials, ensuring proper placement and stability.
  • Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
  • Inspect equipment before use and report any malfunctions.
  • Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from hazards.
  • Support Logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of goods.
  • Regularly perform Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is essential.
  • Valid forklift certification.
  • Proven ability to handle materials safely and efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
  • Physical ability to perform frequent Lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Excellent work ethic and reliability.
  • Commitment to using PPE at all times.
