Are you a skilled and certified Forklift Operator? We have an immediate opening in Baltimore, Maryland! As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, relocating inventory, and staging goods for shipment. This role is critical to our logistics operations, requiring precision and a strong adherence to safety standards. You must possess a valid forklift certification and have a proven track record of safe operation. The physical demands of the role include frequent lifting, though primary tasks involve operating machinery. We require all personnel to utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe working environment at all times. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Properly use required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on forklifts.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
