We are looking for a motivated Order Picker to join our dedicated logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from our warehouse to fulfill customer orders. Your meticulous attention to detail ensures that the correct items and quantities are selected, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and inventory accuracy. You will utilize scanning technology and pick lists to navigate the warehouse and identify items. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Safety is a top priority; all employees must wear appropriate PPE and adhere to all established safety regulations. Collaboration with other warehouse personnel, including those in shipping and receiving, is essential for a smooth workflow. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse storage locations according to order slips or scanner prompts.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities before adding items to order containers.
- Operate pallet jacks or other equipment to move items as needed.
- Transport picked orders to designated staging or packing areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or product damage immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve picking goals.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking or a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order forms accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Capacity for consistent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse environments and basic equipment operation is a plus.
- Dedication to workplace safety and adherence to all logistics guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
