Our Minneapolis, Minnesota location is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring raw materials are available for production and finished goods are prepared for shipment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various material handling equipment and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Your role is critical to maintaining smooth warehouse operations and supporting our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stage materials for production or shipment.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate material records.
- Ensure that all materials are handled in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Experience operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
