Our busy distribution center in Orlando, Florida is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics network. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to identify and resolve inventory issues, implement best practices for inventory management, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations. A strong understanding of inventory control principles and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) are essential. You will be involved in auditing inventory levels, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensuring the integrity of our stock. Your dedication to accuracy and your ability to analyze data will be key to your success in this position. Responsibilities:
- Conducting cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Processing inventory adjustments and transfers.
- Monitoring stock levels and identifying potential shortages or overages.
- Ensuring the proper labeling and storage of all inventory.
- Collaborating with operations team to improve inventory accuracy.
- Adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper use of PPE and understanding Lifting restrictions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related field.
- Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse operations.
