Job Summary:
Our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our **logistics** team. This critical role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing processes to improve inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and possesses a strong understanding of warehouse inventory management systems. Your work directly impacts operational efficiency and reduces costly errors.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Manage and maintain inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status.
  • Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure proper inventory flow.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend disposition.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and other inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving occasional **lifting** up to 30 pounds.
  • Must adhere to all **safety** regulations and wear appropriate **PPE**.
  • Familiarity with **logistics** operations and supply chain principles.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Commitment to maintaining a secure and efficient warehouse environment.
