We are hiring a certified Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in Seattle, Washington. This critical role ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will be experienced, safety-conscious, and capable of operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport goods from receiving areas to storage, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic and safety regulations within the warehouse premises.
- Adhere to inventory control procedures, ensuring accurate tracking of goods.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and vests.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed when not operating a forklift.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift operation and material handling techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
