Join our energetic team as an Order Picker in Portland, Oregon! This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution center. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This fast-paced position demands precision, speed, and a strong commitment to safety, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Your ability to work diligently and accurately will directly impact customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our supply chain. The job involves significant physical activity, including regular Lifting and navigating the warehouse floor. - Accurately select and retrieve ordered items from designated warehouse locations.
- Utilize handheld scanners or pick lists to identify and collect products.
- Verify item numbers, descriptions, and quantities for accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing station efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages encountered.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE throughout the shift.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform repetitive Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina; must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Team-oriented and reliable.
