We are looking for a motivated and physically capable Material Handler to join our team in Boise, Idaho. This role is fundamental to the efficient movement and storage of materials within our warehouse. The Material Handler will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transferring materials, ensuring proper organization and accessibility for various operations. You will be instrumental in supporting the logistics and production workflows, ensuring that materials are in the right place at the right time. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and other transport vehicles.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Stack, sort, and store materials according to company procedures and safety guidelines.
- Identify and report damaged materials or inventory discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining proper licensing and certification as required.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, and participate in safety training.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring no obstructions to aisles or exits.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and utilizing PPE appropriately.
