We are seeking a reliable Material Handler for our Miami, Florida location. This role is fundamental to the efficient flow of materials within our logistics operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, sorting, and staging various materials and products throughout the warehouse. You will utilize hand tools, pallet jacks, and potentially other equipment to ensure materials are in the right place at the right time. Our team is committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, and we provide all necessary PPE and training. This position requires physical stamina, with a significant amount of lifting, carrying, and manual dexterity. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
- Move materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other manual equipment.
- Sort and stage materials according to production or shipping requirements.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, following all operational procedures.
- Wear and use all provided PPE correctly throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock organization.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations and meet deadlines.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge of logistics and material handling.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus. Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk, and work in a physically demanding environment for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Understanding and adherence to safety procedures, including proper PPE usage. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
