Our growing company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and manage our warehouse inventory with precision and accuracy. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels. Your attention to detail and analytical skills are vital to our logistics operations, helping us minimize errors, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supply.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using WMS and other inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Effective communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and proper use of PPE.
