Our Tampa, Florida facility is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to manage the movement of materials within our distribution center. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods. You will operate various types of forklifts to transport, stack, and retrieve inventory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent spatial awareness, and a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. This position requires focus, precision, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and secure warehouse environment. - Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Accurately load and unload trailers.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to wear appropriate PPE.
