We are seeking a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of our facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This pivotal role involves overseeing all warehouse activities, including inventory management, staff supervision, workflow optimization, and ensuring adherence to safety and security protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management, and a proven ability to drive efficiency. You will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of the warehouse team to meet operational targets and maintain the highest standards of performance. This is a key position within our organization, offering significant responsibility and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement strategies to minimize discrepancies and obsolescence.
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of productivity and safety.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and processes to optimize operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and safe handling practices.
- Manage relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Analyze operational data and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
- Ensure efficient logistics and timely delivery of goods.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in warehouse management and logistics operations. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong understanding of inventory control systems and WMS. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, as needed. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. Commitment to fostering a safe work environment, including rigorous adherence to PPE requirements and safety protocols. Experience with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
