We have an immediate opening for a Material Handler in Minneapolis, Minnesota! As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse, supporting our broader logistics operations. Your duties will include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring that materials are properly stored and accounted for. This position requires physical stamina, a strong focus on Safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a demanding environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Move, stack, and arrange materials in designated warehouse areas.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Follow all instructions carefully and work collaboratively with the warehouse team.
- Understand and apply correct techniques for Lifting and material handling.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations of the facility.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting up to 50 pounds. Strong understanding of Safety regulations in a warehouse setting. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with logistics processes. Knowledge of warehouse organization and inventory control is a plus.
