We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our San Jose, California location. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing processes to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency within our logistics operations. A keen eye for detail and a systematic approach are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and report on potential shortages or overages.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage and loss.
- Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure efficient put-away and picking processes.
- Collaborate with purchasing and sales departments on inventory-related matters.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE when necessary.
- Assist with Lifting and moving inventory items as required during audits or investigations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic understanding of material handling and Safety procedures.
- Comfortable performing some Lifting and moving of inventory items.
